Vaco SF Team

Sr. Director, Business Development, BPO

Melanie Quandt

What brought you to Vaco? What drew your interest?
What attracted me to Vaco were my respect and admiration for Jim Jhanda and Julie Luangrath. I had worked with them in the past and knew their work ethic and record of accomplishments.

Why should anyone choose Vaco SF for Managed Services/Contingent Workforce?
We offer scalable operations which increase value to our customers. One of our key differentiators is our investments in DEI, wellness, and our best-in-class off-site work locations, Vaco’s DOCs (Digital Operation Centers).

What’s the toughest business decision that you’ve ever made at this point in your career? Explain.
The toughest decision I have ever made was when I chose to leave working with Jim and Julie back in 2008. We were doing well when we worked together, but the company leadership was starting to become disconnected, and I chose to work at a new company and tackle a business development role for the first time. I learned a lot since working with them, but it is rewarding to come full circle now and be back together again under Jim’s fearless leadership.

What’s the best thing about working at Vaco?
The people. Everyone is kind and enthusiastic about their work and we know how to have fun while achieving remarkable results.

Describe your work style.
I enjoy a quality cup of coffee and upbeat music to kick start my day. I am passionate about building long-lasting relationships, being a trusted partner to all stakeholders, and aim to further my craft through continuous learning and experimentation. “Kaizen”, constant improvement.
