Vaco SF Team

Marketing Manager

Marie Regines

What brought you to Vaco? What drew your interest?

A friend of mine who was already working at Vaco brought the position to my attention. The thing that drew my interest was the job itself. They needed someone to help with a website launch, marketing strategy, brand positioning and digital platforms. It was something pretty new for them and they needed someone to start it up. I believe those things are important for a company.

Why should anyone choose Vaco SF for Managed Services/Contingent Workforce?

I am on the marketing side of Vaco but, I work with everyone that needs help whether or not it is marketing related. I definitely see the hard work and dedication they put into providing managed services. When it comes to helping businesses succeed, Vaco works hard for their success. It also helps that the Vaco team includes professionals with a variety of industry experience.

What’s the toughest business decision that you’ve ever made at this point in your career?

After thinking about this question, I realized that I don’t think I’ve encountered having to make a tough business decision enough to label it a “tough business decision”.

What’s the best thing about working at Vaco?

I like the flexibility and the people. It’s also nice having an awesome boss. For me, it’s been a fun environment that includes many perks. Vaco also knows how to throw a party!

I enjoy a good quote and there are quite a few. I don’t have a favorite but these come to mind:

“Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll never get out of it alive.” – Elbert Hubbard

Beyond The Bio

Favorite Movie of all time:
I enjoy movies and love all genres so a favorite might be hard to choose. But I would have to say Cinema Paradiso. Although, if I watched that again with the “me” now, I don’t think it would be my "all time favorite." I watch a lot of movies and there's been a few good ones since!
What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
Inconsiderate and rude people but seeing the toilet paper sitting on top of the toilet paper holder can be another.
Top 3 CDs of all time:
Bob Marley – Greatest Hits, Lauryn Hill – Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, The Fugees – The Score...
Favorite vacation spot:
There is so much to explore still. Anywhere that includes a beach and cocktails sounds like a favorite. Each place I have gone to is always a different experience...London, Paris, Iceland, Italy, or Barcelona...never mind, I cannot pick a favorite!
If you were deserted on an island, who would you want to find on the other end?
A Rescue Team looking for me!
Name 3 items you must have if you were deserted on an island?
Chapstick, a fishing pole, and a sushi chef! But my must haves would be my laptop with internet connection, music and a sketchbook with pen/pencil/markers!
What are some qualities you value in a person?
Humility, compassion, honesty, kindness, and loyalty (not in any particular order). People with a sense of humor is also good!
What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do?
Well, I try not to say "never" because things happen but I thought I’d never wear certain clothes/shoes that I wear now…even if I still probably shouldn’t!
We have worked with thousands of clients across a diverse set of industries.
