What brought you to Vaco? What drew your interest?
The opportunity to work at a company where the owner knows my name and trusts me to take care of business. No one is looking over my shoulder at Vaco. We hire energetic self-starters and empower our management team to drive and encourage consistent high quality work.
Why should anyone choose Vaco SF for Managed Services/Contingent Workforce?
Vaco is scrappy, and quick to take action. We’ll acquire any process no matter how unpolished or unorthodox, and streamline it into a scalable trainable workflow. We strive to bring order to chaos, and excel and process development, improvement, and design.
What’s the toughest business decision that you’ve ever made at this point in your career?
I think some of the toughest decisions I’ve made have revolved around delegation of responsibility. As a manager you are ultimately responsible for all decisions made, as well as deliverables produced. It can be easy to get stuck in the mindset of needing to handle all the tasks yourself, but ultimately that is not management. Deciding which tasks to delegate, and selecting the correct individuals to manage those task in order to achieve the best possible output is a challenging but essential management decision.
What’s the best thing about working at Vaco?
The best thing about working for Vaco is interfacing with exciting companies that want and need your help. It feels great to work with these companies, and have the tools and expertise necessary to make an impact.
Describe your work style.
My work style can be very sporadic at first, especially when collaborating on a project with a team. I like to initially get everything out of my brain and written down. Once all the thoughts, concerns, and bits of information have been extracted, then it’s a matter of organizing it all into a comprehensive action plan or proposal.
