Language Project Coordinator

Operating Hours: This role will support the APAC region with operating hours between 9am – 7pm in the APAC timezone (approx 5pm – 3am PT).

Job Description

The Language Project Coordinator (“LPC”) program is designed to support Globalization Language Managers and Language Program Managers with the setup, monitoring, and completion of localization tasks. In this function, LPCs must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment, be proactive and collaborative, and learn to effectively use both proprietary and third-party tools to keep our translation workflows moving efficiently.

Responsibilities for Language Project Coordinators include, but not limited to:

Research and collect context for a variety of localization and quality assurance tasks and communicate them to vendor resources for translation
Oversee the resolution of queries raised by translators
Document and track any tooling issues/bugs reported by translators, including special requests, and report them to the relevant Language Managers Working Group
Support with the training of resources on various tools (collects training needs from vendor resources, schedules training sessions, supports Language Managers with updating training material)
Support Language Managers with terminology management and language-related tasks - e.g. dispatching and tracking of glossary tasks to vendors
Support Language Managers with QC ticket management - tracking, assignment to vendors, etc.
[Will specify when required] support with language-specific tasks that may require knowledge of the target language - e.g. research the latest trends for a target market, linguistic support with content ratings workflow, etc.
