Investigations Program Manager

Job Description

Vaco is seeking discerning individuals plugged into internet technologies at the intersection of crisis, geopolitical and user harm issues. You will be working on the leading edge of fast-developing issues like characterizing the spread of online content trends, researching dangerous organizations and movements, and analyzing geopolitical issues.

This is a vendor role with Vaco for a client’s team, a Fortune 100 company. This position is on-site at our North Austin location.

Candidates can expect a fast-paced, high-energy environment working on a team that delivers high-impact investigations of culture-shifting trends. Successful candidates will be able to coalesce, through discernment, writing, and technical research, information from a variety of sources and ensure our client’s global team can get up to speed on the latest developing trends. Strong writing and communication skills are essential for this position.

Schedule Requirements:

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with 30 min lunch break (flexible schedule within business hours)
You may be asked to work outside of your core hours due to business necessity

Responsibilities

Work with leadership to prioritize business and information needs.
Evaluate, analyze and conceptualize strategic planning and information management of new and current workflows.
Work cross functionally with our teams, stakeholders and other teams to support managing the program.
Flexibility to join meetings outside of local business hours, to collaborate with international teams.
Maintain and collaborate on project documentation which includes but not limited to training, proposals, and guides.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional Project or Program Management experience.
BA/BS degree in political science, journalism, data science, digital media, history, or a related field, or have another technical degree.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams with senior stakeholder and executive visibility.
Confident, well-organized and a quick learner.
Strong knowledge management skills.
Ability to balance competing priorities without a loss of efficiency.
SQL experience or other object oriented programming experience.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Advanced Google Workspace experience, including spreadsheets.
High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

PMI Certification.
Familiarity with client’s products, its brand, infrastructure, and types of online abuse.
Understanding of international and geopolitical events and how they may impact a global company.
Strong technical competency, with a data-driven analytical approach toward observing developing trends.
Familiarity with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
Customer service/client experience.
Proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
