Crisis Response Coordinator

Job Description

Seeking discerning individuals plugged into internet technologies and developing news stories. You will be working on the leading edge of fast-developing incidents including most man-made and natural disasters.

This is a vendor role with Vaco, for our client, a Fortune 100 company. This position is currently remote until further notice.

Candidates can expect a fast-paced, energetic environment working on a team that delivers high-impact awareness of world events. Successful candidates will be able to review a variety of online sources and internal information to accurately escalate issues of concern to our client. Strong communication skills and ease of working with multiple tools with fast-evolving technology are essential for this position.

Schedule Requirements:

You may be asked to work outside of your core hours due to business necessity
Core business hours vary depending on the shift. This is not a standard Monday-Friday position. Must be open to working weekend and holidays when necessary.

Current Openings

Overnight Shift (11pm – 7:30am CST)
4 Day Hybrid Shift (TBD)

Responsibilities

Detect, log and escalate man-made and natural disasters happening across the globe
Understand and perform to expectation all new tasks, workflows and processes, including updates to existing work, as they are rolled out by the Shift & Team Leads
Readily suggest process improvement to current workflows to drive efficiencies, improve the quality of team’s work and expand responsibilities
Participate in, and, as necessary, lead communication between stakeholders and supporting teams
Research valuable help and information to those who could be affected by a natural or man-made disaster

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree. The ideal candidate will have majored in Political Science, Journalism, English, History, Digital Media, International Studies or a related field, or have a technical degree
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with a proven ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams with senior stakeholder and executive visibility
Calm under pressure, with an ability to function well in urgent, developing situations
Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
