Job Description
Our Merchandising team is looking for a book lover who gets excited by a variety of books and is able to write about them and manage a store to recommend them to users. As the Books Merchandiser for the US and Canadian Books stores, you will be responsible for creating collections and highlighting content that will delight our eBook and audio book readers.
Responsibilities
- Identifying local trends and selecting content for a best-in-class in-store experience on the US books store
- Dreaming up new, interesting content that only our organization can deliver and working with publishers to create it
- Creating quarterly promotional calendars and working closely with Business Development teams to execute promotions
- Curating content for global seasonal promotions to maximize sales
- Optimizing the store and reporting on metrics at weekly business reviews
Requirements
- BA/BS degree
- 3+ previous years experience in entertainment, publishing, or retail
- Strong knowledge about the books industry
- Solid communication skills, especially writing, and collaborative working approach
- Detail-oriented, with good project management and analytical skills
- Digitally-minded, comfortable using mobile devices and apps, online tools and communication vehicles
- Based in the Bay Area in CA
